ABOUT
Purpose-Driven Water
International Pure Water (IPW) is a science-based, purpose-driven water purification company dedicated to improving public health and quality of life through reliable access to clean, safe drinking water.
IPW develops integrated water purification solutions grounded in long-standing research and development, applied science, and real-world field experience. Our work combines system engineering, material science, and thoughtful product design to address complex water quality challenges across diverse environments.

Our guiding principle is clear and enduring:
Access to clean, safe drinking water is a fundamental human right.
IPW was founded on the belief that meaningful water solutions must be both scientifically sound and practically deployable.
Our systems are designed to perform reliably across urban, rural, and remote settings, supporting long-term use in both on-grid and off-grid environments.
Rather than focusing on a single technology, IPW applies a comprehensive, problem-driven approach to water purification—configuring each solution to match specific water conditions while supporting operational consistency and long-term performance.

Designed for Global Impact
IPW serves institutional, commercial, public-sector, and humanitarian markets worldwide, supporting organizations and communities with dependable water purification solutions that meet high standards of performance and reliability.

Co-Founder | CTO | Head of Research & Development | Product Designer
At the core of IPW’s innovation stands Shimon Ben-Dor, product designer, water-industry specialist, and Head of Research & Development.
With years of experience in water technologies and filtration systems, Shimon has led IPW’s R&D efforts for more than a decade, shaping the company’s scientific and engineering foundation.
The IPW story began not in a laboratory, but in the field.
During an official visit to India, a developing country, Shimon encountered communities that were unknowingly poisoned daily by arsenic-contaminated drinking water. The human cost of this silent crisis left a lasting impression—and a responsibility he could not ignore.
That experience led to the development of IPW’s first filtration solution, engineered specifically to address arsenic contamination at its source.
From there, Shimon adopted a defining design philosophy:
Identify the contaminant.
Understand the chemistry.
Engineer a precise, effective solution.
Over time, this methodology evolved into IPW’s integrated approach—developing adaptable purification systems capable of addressing a wide spectrum of water quality challenges through intelligent system design and applied science.
Chief Executive Officer | Medical & Public Health Leadership
Dr. Ronald Silver (MD), CEO of International Pure Water, brings over three decades of medical, academic, and research experience to IPW.
A graduate of the Honors Program in Medical Education at Northwestern University Medical School, Dr. Silver trained and practiced as an orthopedic surgeon for more than 30 years. During his career, he performed over 30,000 surgeries, taught orthopedic surgery in leading academic institutions, and authored approximately 20 peer-reviewed medical publications.
Dr. Silver’s transition from clinical medicine to water purification was driven by a profound realization:
“I realized I could do more to prevent disease and improve human welfare by providing clean, uncontaminated water than I did during my surgical career.”
At IPW, Dr. Silver provides strategic leadership grounded in preventive medicine, evidence-based decision making, and long-term public health impact—ensuring that every solution IPW develops is aligned with measurable health outcomes, not just technical performance.
Founder-Partner & CMO | Global Infrastructure & Execution
Duke Zukowski brings over 20 years of experience building and scaling companies across water purification, healthcare, renewable energy, and global infrastructure.
As Founder-partner of IPW, Duke is responsible for translating IPW’s science and product innovation into real-world deployment at scale—across international markets, regulatory environments, and complex supply chains.
His career includes launching and scaling ventures exceeding $300M+ in combined enterprise value, leading global manufacturing, logistics, and distribution networks, and structuring regulatory and compliance frameworks across healthcare and international trade .
Duke’s expertise ensures that IPW solutions are not only scientifically sound, but also deployable, compliant, and sustainable at a global level—from humanitarian and off-grid applications to large-scale institutional and commercial implementations.
